A. Pursuant
to the provisions of Section 191.765, RSMo., et seq., Billings City
Hall is hereby declared to be a public place as defined in such State
Statutes and smoking shall be prohibited at any time within City Hall
except in that place hereinafter designated as a smoking area.
B. All
public meetings of the Board of Aldermen and of any committee, commission
or other board appointed pursuant to any authority granted the Board
of Aldermen are hereby declared to be smoke free, irrespective of
where any such meeting may be held, and smoking shall be prohibited
at all such meetings except in designated smoking areas.
C. The
attached garage and/or bay areas to City Hall are hereby designated
as smoking areas where City employees and visitors to City Hall may
smoke.
D. As
used herein, "smoking" is defined as the possession
of burning tobacco in the form of a cigarette, cigar, pipe or other
smoking equipment.
E. Anyone
convicted of violating the provisions of this Article shall be sentenced
to pay a fine of not more than five hundred dollars ($500.00)
