A. 
Traffic control signals shall be installed and operated at the intersection of those streets described herein and made a part of this chapter.
B. 
The traffic signal installation shall be in accordance with the provisions of An Act Concerning Motor Vehicles and Traffic Regulations, Subtitle 1 of Title 39 of the New Jersey Statutes Annotated, and shall conform to the design and shall be maintained in operation as authorized by the Department of Transportation of the State of New Jersey.
C.

As pursuant to N.J.S.A. 39:4-8.10, a municipality or county may, without the approval of the Commissioner of Transportation, construct a speed hump (table) on two-lane residential streets and on one-way residential streets under municipal or county jurisdiction with a posted speed limit of 30 MPH or less and which have fewer than 3,000 vehicles per day.
