§ 2-221 Appointment of successors; term.

A. The Mayor shall appoint or nominate a successor to any member of a City board or commission whose term has expired within six months of the expiration of such term. If the Mayor fails to appoint or nominate a successor within six months after the expiration of a member's term, the member's seat on said board or commission shall become vacant.

B. Except as provided in Subsection A, or as otherwise provided by law, all members of City boards and commissions shall continue to serve until their successors are appointed, or until nominated and confirmed, as the case may be.
