There shall be a City Messenger, who shall attend all meetings
of the City Council and of all committees. He shall prepare the rooms
in which they hold their sessions and, under the direction of the
Mayor, provide all stationery and other things necessary for their
accommodation. The City Messenger shall also perform such other services
of a character similar to those named as may be required by the Mayor,
the City Clerk, the City Council or any committee thereof.
The City Messenger shall receive and deliver all notifications,
messages, papers, documents and summonses, and shall execute all precepts
issued by the Mayor, the President of the City Council or any committee
of the City Council, or the City Clerk, and make due return thereof.
