A. 
It is unlawful for any persons to conduct a garage or yard sale without first securing a permit therefore from the City. There shall be no charge for said permit.
B. 
Garage or yard sales are all sales of tangible personal property from a residentially zoned district where the public at large is or can be made aware of the sale. "Tangible personal property" is all personal property which is owned, utilized or maintained by an individual or members of his/her residence and acquired in the normal course of living in or maintaining the residence. It does not include merchandise purchased for resale or obtained on consignment for resale for which the seller has obtained a business license from the City.
C. 
No more than two (2) garage or yard sales may be held within a one (1) year period on any residentially zoned property.
D. 
In the event of inclement weather or other legitimate reasons, the City may grant alternate dates for permitted garage or yard sales.
E. 
Such permit shall be valid for two (2) days in any seven (7) day period and this permit shall be posted on the premises where the sale occurs.
F. 
A garage or yard sale must be conducted behind the front yard property
G. 
Said permit is not required for any garage or yard sales held on the date chosen by the Chamber of Commerce of the City of Cole Camp, Missouri, for the "City Wide Garage Sale" day.

A. 
For the purpose of this Section the term "merchant" is one selling any goods, wares or merchandise at any store, stand or place occupied for that purpose and as one selling goods, wares, merchandise or personal property of any description or rendering of any service in connection therewith at any store, stand or place within the City of Cole Camp; except for persons conducting garage or yard sales as set forth in Section 605.200 above.
B. 
It is unlawful for any merchant to conduct the sale of any goods, wares or merchandise without first securing a business license therefore from the City or a residential merchandise sales permit specified in Section 605.220 below.
C. 
If the merchandise being sold is exhibited to the public on the seller's property in residentially zoned districts of the City, then no more than two (2) such sales may be held within a one (1) year period and no more than one (1) such item of goods, wares or merchandise may be exhibited for sale at any one time and for no more than six (6) months at a time. If the merchandise being sold consists of motor vehicles or other articles which are required to be titled with a title issued by the Missouri Department of Revenue, title to said merchandise shall be in the name of a person who is an owner or lessee of the real property upon which said merchandise is offered for sale or a member of that person's family within the second degree of consanguinity.
D. 
Such sale must be conducted behind the front yard property line.

A person desiring to sell merchandise in residentially zoned districts of the City without obtaining a business license from the City may purchase a residential sales permit for twenty-five dollars ($25.00), which entitles said person to sell one (1) item of merchandise for a period of up to four (4) months once a year.
