The Township Clerk, with the approval of the Township Committee,
may appoint a Deputy Township Clerk, who shall perform the functions,
powers and duties of the Clerk in the absence of or upon the direction
of the Clerk, and who shall perform such other functions, powers and
duties as may be directed by the Clerk.
The Clerk shall administer the license and permit provisions
of all regulatory ordinances not expressly assigned by this code or
other ordinance to any department and not required by statute to be
administered by another Township officer.
Subject to the supervision of the Administrator, the Township
Clerk shall organize and administer a central mail service for receiving
and dispatch of mail and other communications for all departments.
