It shall be unlawful for any person or persons, firm, co-partnership, or corporation to sell or offer for sale any explosives commonly known as "fireworks" within the City limits of the City of Reeds Spring, Missouri, on any days of the year except first (1st) of July through the fourth (4th) of July. It shall further be unlawful for any seasonal retailer to conduct business within the limits of the City without first obtaining a business license for retail sales.

It shall be unlawful for any person to ignite, set off, or cause to be discharged any explosive, commonly known as "fireworks" within the City on any days of the year except the first (1st) of July through the fourth (4th) day of July. Discharge of fireworks shall be limited to between the hours of 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 P.M., except for July fourth (4th) when the limit shall be extended to 12:00 A.M. (Midnight).

It shall be unlawful for any person to discharge fireworks within or throw same from any motorized vehicle or other means of conveyance (except where display permit has been issued for a floating vessel or floating platform), nor shall any person place or throw any ignited article of fireworks into or at a motorized vehicle, including watercraft, or any other means of conveyance, or at or into any building or structure (occupied or unoccupied), or at or near any person or group of people within the limits of the City.

This Article shall in no way apply to a public display by the Fire Department or the Stone County Fire Department's public fireworks display. Except that the public entities desiring to put on a public display of fireworks shall first obtain written permission from the Board of Aldermen for said display.
