The members of the Planning Board shall be compensated at the
rate of $150 per quarter. The chairperson shall be paid an additional
$25 per quarter.

The members of the Zoning Board of Review, including alternate
members, shall be compensated at the rate of $150 per quarter. The
chairperson shall be paid an additional $25 per quarter.

Every member of the Board of Assessment Review shall be compensated
annually in the amount of $300 per year or a prorated proportion thereof
for less than a full year of service with payment in the month of
December of each year for the preceding year of attendance, provided,
however, that from July 13, 1995 and until July 3, 1996, each member
thereof shall be compensated at a rate of $25 per meeting attended.

All members of the various boards and commissions are subject
to the provisions of the Cumberland Home Rule Charter, §§ 407
I. and 1712, dealing with attendance of members. Attendance records
shall be maintained by the elected chairperson of each board or commission
and the attendance record of every board or commission member shall
be submitted on a monthly basis to the Town Clerk.

Any board, commission, committee or subcommittee thereof of
the Town of Cumberland shall include a public comment period section
on each docket/agenda for each meeting or special meeting in the conduct
of ordinary business before each governmental body. The purpose of
this section is to encourage the public to attend public sessions
of said aforementioned boards/committees and to have input from the
public regarding the business of Town government.

Whenever the term of any position on any board, commission,
committee or subcommittee shall expire, or whenever a position becomes
vacant during a term requiring appointment, the Town Clerk shall cause
notice be placed on the Town's website on the home page as well
as any applicable department pages. Notice shall include the title
and description of the open position, approximate time commitment
on a monthly basis, dates of regular meetings (e.g., second Tuesday
of each month), and stipend if applicable.
