This article shall be titled and may be referred to as the "Fire
Code of the Borough of Tamaqua."

Tamaqua Borough hereby adopts, as amended below, the International
Fire Code, as published by the International Code Council, 2018 edition,
as the Fire Code of Tamaqua Borough as authorized by 8 Pa.C.S.A. Ch.
32A.
The following amendments are hereby made to the following sections
of the International Fire Code as said code shall be applicable in
Tamaqua Borough:
A. Section 101.1. Insert: "Borough of Tamaqua."
B. Section 110.4 (page 13, seventh line). Insert: "Summary offense."

C. Section 110.4 (page 13, eighth line). Insert: "$1,000."

D. Section 110.4 (page 13, eighth and ninth lines). Insert: "30 days."

G. Section 5704.2.9.6.1 of the International Fire Code, 2018 edition, in which storage of Class I and Class II liquids in aboveground tanks outside of buildings is prohibited, is hereby established as follows: As set forth in §

All prior ordinances inconsistent with any provision of this article are repealed to the extent necessary to give effect to the provisions of this article. Since this article is meant to consolidate all prior ordinances relating to the International Fire Code, all other Fire Code ordinances of the Borough of Tamaqua are specifically repealed; provided, however, that the provisions of this code shall not be deemed to nullify the provisions of local, state, or federal law, and Tamaqua Borough Code Chapter
116, Open Burning, shall be deemed to supplement this code.
