No person shall sell or attempt to sell any goods, article or
thing by peddling, soliciting, hawking or by public outcry, or at
any temporary or unenclosed stand or place of business within the
Village, without first having registered at the Village Hall.
Every person soliciting, canvassing or taking orders for books,
pictures, publications, printed matter or other article of any kind,
to be made, manufactured or printed, shall be deemed within the meaning
of this chapter and shall be required to register at the Village Hall.
No registration fee shall be required.
Hours allowed for any peddling, soliciting or canvassing shall
be 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
No peddler or solicitor shall vex, annoy or harass any person
by importuning said person to purchase or look at his goods, nor shall
any peddler enter any private house without being invited to do so.
Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall be subject to penalties as set forth in Chapter
1, Article
III, of the Village Code.
