[Adopted 4-10-1996 by L.L. No. 1-1996]
Pursuant to Articles 5-G and 5-J of the General Municipal Law of the State of New York, the Village of Livonia is authorized to create, by cooperative agreement with the Town of Livonia, a Joint Zoning Board of Appeals consisting of five members to be appointed as outlined in § 9-4 below.
The Joint Zoning Board of Appeals is created by the Village and Town of Livonia as provided in § 155-15 of this Code.

The appointing authority of an individual member shall have the power to remove a member pursuant to the appropriate sections of Article 7 of the Village Law or Article 16 of the Town Law.[1]

Upon the effective date of both this article and the Intermunicipal Cooperation Agreement to be executed with the Town of Livonia, the existing Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Livonia shall be abolished, and all matters currently pending before such Board shall be transferred to the Joint Zoning Board of Appeals.[1]
