In accordance with §
C-2.07 of the Home Rule Charter, the Council of Peters Township establishes the Peters Township Environmental Quality Board to serve as an advisory body to the Council and a coordinating body for the Council.

The membership of the Peters Township Environmental Quality
Board shall be set at five to nine members. The Council shall attempt
to have representation from the school district, business community
and service organizations.

The term of membership shall be four years; the initial terms
will be of varying lengths to permit a permanent staggering of terms.

The Board shall have a Chairman, a Vice Chairman and a Secretary.
The Board's functions are:
A. Coordinating community-wide efforts to resolve environmental problems,
including littering, dumping, vandalism, outdoor storage.
B. Identifying specific environmental problems within the Township.
C. Initiate efforts to resolve said environmental problems.
D. Review current and proposed ordinances in conjunction with the existing
boards and commissions and with the Township administration.
