Whenever a term is used in this Part 1 or in Chapter 450, Zoning, as amended, or in Chapter 400, Subdivision of Land, as amended, which is defined in P.L. 1975, c. 291,[1] such term is intended to have the meaning set forth in the definition of such term found in said statute, unless a contrary intention is clearly expressed from the context of said ordinances.

Pursuant to the provisions of P.L. 1975, c. 291, the substantive provisions of the existing Land Subdivision Ordinance of the Borough of Penns Grove, as amended, and the development regulations set forth therein are hereby readopted and shall continue in full force and effect and shall be read in pari materia with this Part 1.[1]

All applications for development filed prior to the effective date of this Part 1 may be continued, but any appeals arising out of decisions made on any such application shall be governed by the provisions of Article III of this Part 1.
Immediately upon adoption of this Part 1, the Municipal Clerk shall file a copy of this Part 1 with the County Planning Board as required by law. The Clerk shall also file with said County Planning Board copies of all other ordinances of the municipality relating to land use, such as Chapter 400, Subdivision of Land, Chapter 450, Zoning, and Chapter 375, Site Plan Review.
