Pursuant to § 59.10, Wis. Stats., Adams County intends
to declare itself to be a self-organized county for the purposes of
providing greater flexibility in determining methods of Supervisor
compensation, the number of committee meetings, and vacancy procedure,
as well as ensuring that current County payment practice is in strict
compliance with state law.
The County Board will have approved this ordinance to create
self-organized status by majority vote of the entire membership. This
ordinance shall take effect immediately upon passage, and in accordance
with § 59.10, Wis. Stats., the County Clerk shall submit
a certified copy of this ordinance to the Wisconsin Secretary of State
for filing.
Adams County hereby declares itself to be a self-organized county,
with all the rights and responsibilities of such county.
