This chapter is titled the "Adams County Comprehensive Plan
Ordinance" for the purpose of adopting a comprehensive plan as outlined
in § 66.1001, Wis. Stats.
The County adopted written procedures designed to foster public
participation in every stage of the preparation of a comprehensive
plan as required by § 66.1001, Wis. Stats.
The County opted to facilitate and participate in a multi-jurisdictional
planning process and has been working with municipalities preparing
local comprehensive plans.
The County appointed a Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee
to guide the development of the County Comprehensive Plan, which recommended
the plan to the Planning and Zoning Committee of the County.
On July 26, 2005, the County held an open house to inform the
public of the County Comprehensive Plan and process.
A public hearing has been hereby held on this Comprehensive
Plan, with notice in compliance with the requirements of § 66.1001,
Wis. Stats.
The County Board, by the enactment of this ordinance, formally
adopts the Adams County Comprehensive Plan document as presented this
day.
