No industrial waste shall be discharged into the Borough of Clayton sanitary sewer system prior to approval by proper authority. Any waste so discharged shall meet the following conditions:
A.
Strong mineral acidity shall be absent; pH shall not be less than 6.6.
B.
Caustic alkalinity shall be absent; pH shall not exceed 9.4.
C.
Explosive substances shall be absent.
D.
Flammable substances shall be absent.
E.
Temperature at a point of discharge shall not exceed 150° F.
F.
Grease, oil and/or wax solidifying and/or becoming viscous at temperatures between 32° F. and 150° F. shall be absent.
G.
Grease, oil and/or wax in solution and/or emulsion shall be absent.
H.
Insoluble substances shall not exceed a daily average of 350 parts per million.
I.
Dissolved substances shall not exceed a daily average of 350 parts per million.
J.
Gases and/or vapors, either free or occluded, shall be absent in concentrations toxic to humans, animals and aquatic life in streams.
K.
Soluble substances shall be absent in concentrations toxic to humans, animals and aquatic life in streams.
L.
Insoluble substances shall be absent in concentrations toxic to humans, animals and aquatic life in streams.
M.
Chlorine demand average shall not exceed 20 parts per million.
N.
Biochemical oxygen demand (five-day 20° C.) average shall not exceed 350 parts per million.
O.
Total sulfides shall not exceed two parts per million.
P.
Antiseptic substances shall not exceed 50 parts per million.
Q.
Phenols shall not exceed 0.005 part per million.
R.
Oxygen-consuming substances shall not exceed 350 parts per million.
S.
Toxic and/or irritating substances creating hazardous health and safety conditions shall be absent.
T.
Grease and/or oil shall not exceed a daily average of 25 parts per million.
U.
No substance shall be present in sufficient quantity to cause hazardous conditions.
V.
No substance shall be present in sufficient quantity to interfere with biological processes.
W.
Substances must be absent which the Borough of Clayton now or hereafter finds to be harmful.
