It shall be unlawful for any person to do any act, or to allow
to be done any act, that may contaminate or pollute or contribute
to the contamination or pollution of the water supply wells or intake,
or the water system in general of the City. A violation of this section
shall be considered a misdemeanor and subject to the penalties prescribed
in Section 1-7 of this Code.
It shall be unlawful for any person to construct or maintain,
or permit to be constructed or maintained, within a radius of 200
feet from any of the municipal water wells or intakes within the City
from which the City draws its water supplies, any source of possible
contamination or pollution to such wells and intakes. A violation
of this section shall be considered a misdemeanor and subject to the
penalties prescribed in Section 1-7 of this Code.
