No motor vehicle of any type whatsoever, except for a duly authorized
emergency vehicle engaged in an emergency operation, as those terms
are defined by the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law, shall be
allowed to park within an area that has been designated as a fire
lane. Fire lanes may be designated by the Planning Board during the
land use approval process in accordance with law or by the Village
Board in accordance with applicable law. In addition to any and all
other penalties permitted by law, the Village of Walden Police Department
shall also have the option to remove any vehicle parked within a fire
zone by having it towed away.
Fire lanes shall be marked with signs indicating: "No Parking - Fire
Lane - Tow Away Zone."

allowed to park within 15 feet of a fire hydrant located on the public
streets or private roadways in the Village of Walden. The Police Department
shall, in addition to any and all remedies it may have under law,
have the option to remove any vehicle parked too close a fire hydrant
by having it towed away.
Any person violating any of the provisions of this article shall
be punished by a fine not to exceed $250. Additionally, such person
shall also be responsible to pay all costs of towing and storage if
any such costs have been incurred.
