The Electric Superintendent, hereinafter referred to as the "Superintendent," shall have immediate charge of the City's electric distribution system.

The Superintendent shall be under the direction and control of the City Administrator at all times for no set term.
The Superintendent shall read or cause to be read all meters of the customers of the city's electric distribution system. All employees under his or her direction shall obey his or her orders, if lawful. He or she shall supervise and inspect repairs and maintenance work on the city's electric distribution system. He or she shall have the duty of enforcing the laws of the City relating to the Electric Department as well as carry out any order or directive of the City Administrator.
