A. To Establish The Proper Numbering Of Each House, Building Or Other
Structure Fronting On A Road Or Street. The responsibility for the
numbering shall rest upon its owner, trustee, lessee, agent or occupant
who shall cause the same to be numbered in accordance with this Section.

The numbers shall be placed either on the front transom bar,
front glass or front show window over or on either side of the entrance,
the said numbers to be of paint or metal and at least three (3) inches
in height, the color of the numbers to be in contrast to the immediate
background, fully viewable from the opposite side of the street.

It shall be unlawful to cover any numbers with any sign, drapery
or other obstruction tending to conceal such numbers.

All old numbers must be removed from any house, building or
other structure when a new number has been assigned or when so directed
by the Chief of Police.
4.
If there is an alley entrance to the house, building or other
structure, numbers shall also be placed at the alley entrance to the
house, building or other structure to the premises on which a said
house, building or other structure is located.
5.
The numbers shall be placed conspicuously at the said alley
entrance, the same to be paint or metal figures not less than three
(3) inches high, the color of the numbers to be in contrast to the
immediate background and fully viewable from alley.
6.
The Chief of Police is hereby authorized to require the numbering
and renumbering of any house, building or other structure and the
alley entrance thereof in accordance with his/her directions.
B. Penalty. Any persons who shall violate this Section shall be deemed
guilty of an ordinance violation and upon conviction thereof shall
be punished by a fine of not less than one dollar ($1.00) and not
more than five hundred dollars ($500.00) together with cost of prosecution.
