[Ord. 95-07, 12/14/1995, § 301; as amended by Ord.
2008-06, 11/19/2008, § 2]
The location and boundaries of districts shall be shown on the
map attached to and made part of this chapter as adopted and revised
through November 14, 2007, which shall be designated as the "Franklin
Township Zoning Map." The said map and all notations, references and
other data shown thereon shall be as much a part of this chapter as
if fully described herein.
[Ord. 95-07, 12/14/1995, § 302]
1. The boundaries between districts are, unless otherwise indicated,
either the center lines of streets, lanes, watercourses, property
lines and rights-of-way of power lines, railroads and other public
utilities or such lines extended as parallel lines.
2. Where boundaries of a single district are indicated as including
directly opposite sides of a street, lane watercourse, or right-of-way
of a power line or other public utility, the district so indicated
shall be construed to apply on the entire bed of such street, lane,
watercourse, or right-of-way.
3. The following rules shall apply where uncertainty exists as to the
location of any boundary on the Zoning Map:
A. Where a district boundary is indicated as approximately following
the center lines of a street, lane, watercourse, or right-of-way of
a power line or other public utility, such center line shall be construed
to be such boundary.
B. Where a district boundary is indicated as approximately following
a lot or other property line, such lot or property line shall be construed
to be such boundary.
C. Where a district boundary divides a lot or runs through undivided
property, the location of such boundary, unless otherwise specified
by figures on the Zoning Map, shall be determined by the use of the
scale appearing on the said map.
D. Where figures are shown on the Zoning Map between a street and a
district boundary, they shall indicate that the district boundary
runs parallel to the street line at a distance therefrom equivalent
to the number of feet so indicated, unless otherwise specified. Where
scaled distances do not agree with such figures, the figures shall
control.
[Ord. 95-07, 12/14/1995, § 303]
Where a district boundary line divides a lot held in single
and separate ownership at the effective date of this chapter, the
use regulations applicable to the less restricted district shall extend
over the portion of the lot in the more restrictive a distance of
25 feet beyond the district boundary line.
