1. The Board of Commissioners may designate one person as the Road Supervisor
of the Township of Collier who shall be approved by the majority vote
of the Commissioners of the Township of Collier and who shall serve
until a successor is duly designated in the above manner. The position
of Road Supervisor shall be a management position subject to the approval
of the Board of Commissioners and shall be a noncivil service position.
2. Should the Commissioners of the Township of Collier designate any
person previously employed in the Road Department as the Road Supervisor,
then that person shall be given the option to return to the Road Department
with all of his seniority, salary, and benefits that he would have
had he not accepted the position or been designated to the position
of Road Supervisor.

1. The Road Supervisor shall be directly responsible to the Board of
Commissioners through the Chairman of the Road Department, who shall
have direct charge and responsibility for the operation of the Road
Department.
2. The Road Supervisor shall have the sole responsibility for organizing,
supervising and operating the Road Department subject to the approval
of the Chairman of the Road Department.

1. The Board of Commissioners shall fix an annual salary and other benefits
for the said position.
2. The working hours of the position may vary inasmuch as the Road Supervisor
will have total control over the Road Department and be responsible
for the day to day operation. Said position shall be management position
and not recognized as a part of any labor organization or bargaining
unit selected or maintained by the Road Department.
3. In the event that the position created by this part is filled from
any person presently a member of the Collier Township Road Department,
or employed therein, then that person shall continue to receive any
benefits presently being received by members of the Road Department,
including eligibility into any municipal retirement funds or plans.
