The aforementioned recitals are incorporated herein in full
as though the same were set forth at length.
[Ord. 2014-14, 11-6-2014]
1. In order to facilitate the movement of traffic and to combat the
hazards of snow and ice on weather emergency routes named herein,
the Township Manager, or the President of the Board of Commissioners
in the absence of the Township Manager, in his or her discretion,
may declare a weather emergency ("weather emergency") within the Township.
2. The weather emergency declaration shall be made between the hours
of 6:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. by means of broadcasting through radio
or television stations with a normal operating range covering the
Township, and any additional means of broadcasting as the Township
may determine, and shall state the time after which the weather emergency
shall be in effect.
[Ord. 2014-14, 11-6-2014]
1. The weather emergency declaration shall be made not less than one
hour prior to the time the weather emergency is to go into effect.
2. In view of the nature of the roads of the Township, all Township
streets or roads are hereby designated as weather emergency routes
when a weather emergency is declared.
3. After any weather emergency is declared and until such weather emergency
has been terminated, it shall be unlawful for any person to:
A. Park a vehicle or permit it to stand unattended upon any portion
of any of the roads situate within the Township.
4. Where a weather emergency has not been declared and announced by 11:00 p.m., the parking prohibition set forth in Subsection

5. The Township Manager, or the President of the Board of Commissioners
in the absence of the Township Manager, in his or her discretion,

upon announcement.
6. Any vehicles in violation of this section that remain parked or unattended
on a weather emergency shall be subject to removal and impoundment
by an approved and insured towing service that shall be designated
from time to time by the Township. The owner or driver of the motor
vehicle shall be responsible to claim the vehicle from the towing
service within 48 hours after the weather emergency has been lifted
and pay all towing and storage charges as may be applicable, and any
such payment shall not relieve the owner or driver from liability
for any other fine or penalty that may be applicable.
[Ord. 2014-14, 11-6-2014]
The Township shall not hereby be required to post weather emergency
signage on every Township road but shall be permitted to post weather
emergency signage only on the roads and/or highways entering into
the Township so that drivers and owners may be on notice that all
Township roads are weather emergency routes upon which parking is
prohibited during a weather emergency. All ordinances, resolutions,
or parts thereof in conflict herewith are repealed to the extent of
any such inconsistency.
[Ord. 2014-14, 11-6-2014]
The provisions of this Part shall not apply to the Township,
