There is hereby established a Recreation Commission in the Town of Whately to consist of nine members to be appointed by the Selectboard to serve as an advisory committee on all matters involving recreation and its related activities.
The Commission shall be charged with the control, development and management of the playgrounds and recreation areas within the Town of Whately, with the exception of the Tri-Town Beach District, and shall be charged with the supervision and management of the so-called "Youth and Community Center" within the Town of Whately and shall be allowed to charge fees, with the approval of the Selectboard.
The Commission shall be required to make an annual report of all recreational functions and buildings within the Town and make such report to the Selectboard and the citizens of the Town of Whately.
The Recreation Commission shall be responsible to the Selectboard and shall act as its advisory committee in all matters related to recreational activities and related projects of the Town.
