Voted to convert the elected office of the Tree Warden to an appointed office as allowed by MGL c. 41, § 1, with no such change to take place until a vote has been taken at the annual election in February 2000, at which a majority of those voting must vote in the affirmative.[1]

Editor's Note: At the election 2-15-2000 under Question 1, it was voted in the affirmative (193 yes, 85 no) to have the elected Tree Warden become an appointed Tree Warden.
