The term for the elective Town offices of Town Clerk and Town
Highway Superintendent shall be four years.
This article shall be submitted to the qualified electors of
the Town of Milo for their approval or disapproval at the next biennial
Town election.

This article is adopted pursuant to the provisions of § 10
of the Municipal Home Rule Law of the State of New York.
The term of office for the elected Town Supervisor shall be changed from two years to four years. Such four-year term shall commence as of the first day of January 2012, and shall apply to the person elected to such office at the biennial Town election to be held in November 2011, and to those elected thereafter, provided that the proposition submitted pursuant to §
63-5 below is approved.
This article is adopted subject to a mandatory referendum and
shall be submitted for approval of the qualified voters of the Town
of Milo at the biennial Town election to be held on November 3, 2009.
A proposition shall be included on the ballot at such biennial Town
election, and the increased term of office for Town Supervisor shall
not take effect unless such proposition is approved by a majority
vote of the qualified voters voting thereon.
This article shall supersede Town Law § 24, relating
to the term of office for the Town Supervisor of the Town of Milo.
