Pursuant to the provisions of N.J.S.A. 40:55D-32, the Borough of Demarest hereby adopts the Official Map of the Borough of Demarest, Bergen County, New Jersey, dated December 1990, revised to October 7, 1992, prepared by Azzolina and Feury Engineering Company, James A. Feury, P.E., License No. 21918, as the Official Map of the Borough of Demarest and hereby makes such map a part of this chapter by reference thereto, an official copy thereof being filed for reference with the Borough Clerk and the Borough Engineer.

Said Official Map, and every part thereof and any changes subsequently made in proper form, is to be deemed official and conclusive with respect to the location and width of streets and public drainage areas and the location and extent of flood-control basins in public areas, whether or not such streets, ways, basins or other areas are improved or unimproved or are in actual physical existence, and further shall be conclusive as to the location and extent of public parks and playgrounds shown thereon, and such Official Map is hereby declared to be established to conserve and promote the public health, safety, morals and general welfare.
The governing body of the Borough may, by ordinance, whenever and as often as it may deem it for the public interest, change or add to such Official Map of the municipality, subject to such approval of the Planning Board as may be required according to law.
