Except as noted in Subsection D:
A. No person shall, within the territorial limits of the Township, hunt,
attempt to hunt, cast an arrow or discharge firearms of any type,
including rifles, shotguns, pistols, air guns and BB guns, at any
time.
B. At no time shall hunting of any kind be permitted on Township-owned
or leased property.
C. No person shall cast an arrow or discharge any firearm upon or across
any state, county or Township road or highway.
D. No person except the owner or lessee of the property, or persons
specifically authorized by the owner in writing, shall hunt, cast
an arrow, discharge a firearm or have in his possession a nocked arrow
or loaded gun while within the safety zone established pursuant to
state law.
A. Nothing in this chapter shall prohibit the use of firearms for the
protection of life, persons or property.
B. The provisions of this chapter shall not apply to any archery, pistol,
shotgun or rifle range equipped with proper safeguards for the protection
of life and property, or operated by any club under the control and
supervision of the duly constituted officers of such club, and the
duly authorized Hamilton Township Police Division pistol range.

A. No person, subject to exemptions in §
270-3B below, is permitted to carry a firearm into municipal property, including but not limited to municipal buildings, municipally leased facilities, firehouses, libraries, and the senior center. Nothing in this section supersedes any additional prohibitions from federal, state or county authorities.
B. Exemptions
from the prohibition from carrying firearms. This section shall not
apply to persons who are active or retired law enforcement officers,
persons who are active-duty military and licensed employees of private
detective agencies, armored car companies and private security companies.
Any person convicted of violating the provisions of this chapter shall be subject to the penalties provided for in §
1-2, Violations; penalties, of this Code.
