Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 52:14-15f, employees and elected officials
of the Township of Lumberton shall be required to receive their pay
through direct deposit at a bank institution of their choice.
The Chief Financial Officer shall establish the system within
30 days of the effective date of the adoption of this article.
Municipal employees may request, in writing, an exemption from
the direct deposit mandate to the Chief Financial Officer. Such requests
will be presented to the Township Committee at its next regularly
scheduled meeting. The Committee may grant such an exemption by resolution
and only for good cause.
