In order to facilitate the movement of traffic and to combat the hazards of snow and ice, the Chief of Police (or designee) may declare a snow and ice emergency (designated in this article as "snow emergency"). Information on the existence of a snow emergency shall be given by the Township of Warrington through radio, newspaper, website, or other available media, and information on the termination of the emergency may be given by use of the same media.

Whenever snow falls to a depth of two inches or more, all parking upon the streets or highways of the Township is hereby prohibited. When and where a resident of the Township has access to a garage, driveway or other facility for off-street parking or when and where a vehicle of a nonresident is parked adjacent to premises the owner or occupier of which has access to a garage, driveway or other facility for off-street parking, said vehicles shall be placed in the off-street parking facility. In cases where a resident of the Township does not have access to a garage, driveway or other facility for off-street parking or where a vehicle of a nonresident is parked adjacent to premises the owner or occupier of which does not have access to a garage, driveway or other facility for off-street parking, then, and only in such event, shall parking be permitted upon the street or highway; provided, however, that such parking on the street or highway shall be only on one side thereof as follows: during even-numbered years, parking shall be on the even-numbered side of the street, and during odd-numbered years, parking shall be on the odd-numbered side of the street; provided, further, that where parking restrictions are permanently in effect, such restrictions shall prevail, notwithstanding the provisions of this section.
After any snow emergency is declared, it shall be unlawful, at any time during the continuance of the emergency, for any person:

Any owner, person, firm, association or corporation who shall violate any of the provisions of this article, upon conviction thereof, shall be liable to pay a fine, as provided by the Vehicle Code (75 Pa.C.S.A. § 101 et seq.), and all costs incurred by the Township, for each and every offense.
