No owner or keeper of a dog shall allow it to roam at large.
Every such owner or keeper shall keep it under control by means of
a leash or other restraint when it is not on the property of the owner
or keeper. The leash may be no longer than seven feet and must be
held continuously.
Any dog found not on the property of its owner or keeper, and
not under control as prescribed by this chapter, may be taken by the
Animal Control Officer or other proper authority, and may be impounded,
and its care, release or disposal shall be in accordance with Chapter
435 of the Connecticut General Statutes.
Any person who violates any provision of this chapter shall
be fined no less than $90 and no more than $250 for each offense.
Any dog impounded by the Town of Woodbury shall be redeemed
by the owner upon payment of the appropriate fees as set forth in
Chapter 435 of the Connecticut General Statutes.
