[Adopted 8-11-2016 by Ord. No. 11-2016]
A.
It shall be unlawful for any person who is not a resident or guest
of a resident of the street to park a motor vehicle on the following
streets near and around the high school, (more specifically designated
below) without the designation of a residential permit on their vehicle.
Permits shall be available from the City at City Hall. Permits shall
permit a resident or a guest of a resident to park in the restricted
area; however, only on the street directly in front of the residence
of the resident to which the permit is issued.
B.
The above stated requirement for a residential permit shall only
apply from 6:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. when the high school is in session.
C.
A "resident" is defined as an individual who resides in a house on
the streets in or around the high school designated as follows and
the car that is parked in the street is in fact registered to said
household. Each residential household will be entitled to receive
two parking passes, with requests for additional passes to be provided
upon evidence of a reasonable need for the same by the resident. A
"guest" of a resident is an individual that is visiting a resident
within the restricted zone outlined below who has been provided a
guest permit by the resident. Permits shall be obtained at the office
of the Municipal Clerk by the resident. A guest permit shall only
entitle the guest to park along the perimeter of the lot to which
the permit has been issued. Nothing contained in this article shall
prevent residents from parking registered vehicles in their driveways
or from permitting guests to park registered vehicles in their driveways
without permits.
D.
Any person violating any provision of this section, shall, upon conviction
in Municipal Court of the City of Egg Harbor City, be fined an amount
not exceeding $200.
E.
The designated streets ("restricted zone"), are as follows and shall
be marked by the appropriate signage:
