[Ord. 5-2015, 12/3/2015]
1.
Alteration or Relocation of Watercourse.
A.
No encroachment, alteration, or improvement of any kind shall be made to any watercourse until all adjacent municipalities which may be affected by such action have been notified by the Township and until all required permits or approvals have first been obtained from the DEP's regional office.
B.
No encroachment, alteration, or improvement of any kind shall be made to any watercourse unless it can be shown that the activity will not reduce or impede the flood-carrying capacity of the watercourse in any way.
C.
In addition, FEMA and the DCED shall be notified prior to any alteration or relocation of any watercourse.
2.
Except as otherwise provided in this Part 4, no new regulated activities shall be permitted unless it has been demonstrated through hydrologic and hydraulic analysis performed in accordance with standard engineering practice that the proposed encroachment would not result in any increase in flood levels within the community during the occurrence of the base flood discharge.
