[Adopted 8-15-1983 by L.L. No. 1-1983]
From and after the first day of October, 1983, there shall be but one Assessor of the Town of Tusten, Sullivan County, New York, which Assessor shall be appointed for a term of six years, pursuant to § 1522 of the Real Property Tax Law of the State of New York.[1] The office and term of office of the present elected Assessors are terminated as of September 30, 1983.

This article shall be subject to a referendum on petition in accordance with § 24 of the Municipal Home Rule Law, and shall take effect immediately upon filing with the Secretary of State in accordance with § 27 of the Municipal Home Rule Law.[1]
