The following applies to all recreation places, as listed in Chapter 1, Part 2, Subpart E, § 1-256:
1. 
Operating, stopping or parking any motor vehicles without prior permission or permit.
2. 
Participating in riotous, threatening, indecent or offensive conduct or using abusive, threatening, profane, obscene, indecent or offensive language therein.
3. 
Smoking, spitting or chewing tobacco; provided, however, smoking is permitted at 19th Street Playground in designated areas only.
4. 
Possessing, carrying or discharging of firearms, airguns, archery equipment or any other weapon or dangerous instrument or a facsimile of same.
5. 
Participating in any golf activities.
6. 
Walking animals not on a leash or handling unrestrained animals, except in designated off-leash areas.
7. 
Consuming or possessing alcoholic beverages without permission or permit.
8. 
Using electrical amplifying equipment without permission or permit.
9. 
Injuring, defacing or destroying any posted notices, rules or regulations, relating to the use of the Borough parks and playgrounds.
10. 
Injuring, cutting, removing or destroying any wood, turf, grass, trees, soil, sand, flowers, shrubs or rock formations thereon.
11. 
Making or kindling a fire thereon for any purpose.
12. 
Selling, exposing or offering for sale any merchandise, article or thing whatsoever without permission or permit.
13. 
Damaging, defacing or misusing in any way the buildings, structures, equipment or park or playground facilities.
14. 
Littering, scattering or depositing wastepaper, garbage or refuse.
15. 
Posting or distributing any notices, advertisements or handbills.
16. 
Playing of any musical instrument without permission or permit.
17. 
Being within the premises of any Borough of Sharpsburg park or playground when said park or playground is closed, as set forth in this part, unless acting upon official business.
No one shall be permitted within any park or playground of the Borough of Sharpsburg under the age of 10 unless accompanied by a parent or other adult who is supervising said minor.

The Borough of Sharpsburg parks and playgrounds shall be closed to the public at dusk and shall remain closed until 7:00 a.m.

Any person, firm or corporation who shall violate any provision of this part shall, upon conviction thereof, be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $1,000 plus costs and, in default of payment of said fine and costs, to a term of imprisonment not to exceed 30 days. Each day that a violation of this part continues or each section of this part which shall be found to have been violated shall constitute a separate offense.

All applications for permissions or permits to use a recreation place must be submitted to the Sharpsburg Parks and Recreation Commission for review and approval. All applications will be reviewed subject to Commission guidelines.
