A park, which shall be known as "East Shore Park," is hereby
established, consisting of the following parcels located in the Village
of Kings Point as shown on the Nassau County Land and Tax Map: Section
1, Block 172, Lots 35, 36A, 36B, 37A, 37B, 39C, 39D, 40A, 40B, 41A,
41B, 42A, 42B, 43A, and 43B; and Section 1, Block 184, Lots 1A, 1B,
2A, 2B, 3A, 3B, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11A, 11B, 12A, 12B, 13, and
14.
The following rules and regulations shall apply and be enforced
and administered in East Shore Park.
A. No person shall be present in the park except:
(1) Residents of the Village of Kings Point with proof of residency with
them to display to a police officer or other Village official if asked
to produce it. Such proof shall consist of a driver's license,
passport, certified copy of a deed, or identification issued by the
Village Clerk, or such other proof as may be accepted by the officer
requesting that it be produced; and
(2) Individuals identified by such residents as accompanying them in
the park as their guests.
B. No person, other than an employee of the Village or an officer of
the Kings Point Police Department or the Nassau County Police Department,
shall be in the park before 9:00 a.m. or after 6:00 p.m.
C. No person shall bring a dog or other pet animal into the park or
allow it to remain in the park.
D. No person shall bring into the park or have with them in the park
any food or beverages.
E. No person shall bring into or through the park or have with them
in the park any fishing rods, reels, hooks, or other fishing equipment.
F. No person shall fish from or in the park.
G. No person shall swim from or in the park.
H. No person shall bring into or through, maintain within, or launch
from the park any kayak, raft, tube, float, life vest, boat, or other
water vessel or water support or water play object.
I. No person shall throw a ball, Frisbee, or other toy or sports object
in the park.
J. No person shall fly a drone from within the park or allow a drone
to fly less than 400 feet above the park.
K. No person shall play or have turned on any musical instruments, radios,
or other devices that make or amplify sound that is audible to a reasonable
person of normal sensitivities within two feet of such person in the
park.
L. No person shall make any loud, raucous, unnecessary, or unusual noise
which annoys, disturbs, interferes with, injures, or endangers the
comfort, repose, health, peace, or safety of a reasonable person of
normal sensitivities in the park or on neighboring properties, and
every person shall conduct him- or herself in an orderly manner and
shall endeavor to cause no discomfort or inconvenience to any reasonable
person of normal sensitivities.
M. No person shall mutilate, deface, or damage the park property or
break, cut, remove, or injure any flower, shrub, tree, or other vegetation
in the park.
N. No person shall abandon, discard, leave, dump, or deposit any bottle,
glass, can, metal, paper, garbage, or other rubbish or litter in the
park.
O. No person shall vend, hawk, peddle, or distribute any merchandise
or circulate any advertising matter or post any signs, bills, or placards
in the park.
P. No person shall ride any skateboard, bicycle, or motor vehicle, or
similar device, in the park.
Q. No person shall kindle, build, maintain, or use a fire in the park.
R. No person shall smoke, possess, throw, or discard any lighted match,
cigar, cigarette, or other material in the park.
S. No person shall bring into the park or construct within the park
any tents, lean-tos, or other structures, temporary or permanent,
of individual parts or as a prefabricated whole.
T. No person shall traverse from the park directly onto adjoining residential
properties.
