To the extent of conflict between any provisions of this article
and any other ordinance provisions of the City, the provisions of
this article shall control.

The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this article,
shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where
the context clearly indicates a different meaning:
CLERK
The clerk of the municipal court and any deputy or member
of the office staff of the clerk while performing duties of the clerk's
office.
COURT
The municipal court of the City.
JUDGE
The municipal judge, including any acting judge or alternate
judge.

This judicial district means the ninth judicial district.

The municipal court shall have:
(1) Original jurisdiction to hear and determine all prosecutions wherein
a violation of the Charter or of any ordinance of the City is charged;
(2) Jurisdiction in proceedings had for the collection of licenses, fees
and all other revenues as provided by ordinance, except such actions
as may fall within the exclusive jurisdiction of other courts, or
such other actions for violations of City ordinances as may be made
triable before other courts by the constitution and laws of the state;
and
(3) Such other jurisdiction as may be provided by law.

A. A
traffic violations bureau is hereby established as a division of the
office of the clerk of the court, to be administered by the clerk,
or by subordinates designated by him for that purpose.
B. Persons
who are cited for violation of any of the traffic ordinances of the
City of Cushing, Oklahoma, may elect to pay a fine in the traffic
violations bureau.
C. The
court may adopt further rules to implement this section. Payment of
a fine under this section shall constitute a plea of guilty and final
determination of the case against the defendant. If a defendant who
has elected to pay a fine under this section and fails so to do, prosecution
shall proceed under other provisions of this chapter.
