The Board of Selectmen shall be responsible for the personnel
policies of the Town and shall prepare and keep up-to-date the following
subject to the provisions of applicable state statutes dealing with
municipal collective bargaining agreements to which the Town is a
party:
A. A statement of the duties and responsibilities of all employees of
the Town.
B. A set of personnel rules which may provide, among other things, for
a method of holding competitive examinations and for the probationary
period of employment, and which shall provide for hours of work, vacations,
sick leaves, removals and such other rules as may be necessary to
provide an adequate and systematic procedure for the administration
of the personnel affairs of the Town.
C. A standard, systematic schedule of pay for each position held by
any Town employee. The foregoing statements, rules and pay schedules
shall be filed with the Town Clerk and copies shall be public records.
