In consideration for the rights and privileges granted to any telephone company in a certain franchise ordinance to use the public places of the City in the provision of telephone service, there is hereby imposed upon said franchisee a gross receipts tax. Said telephone company shall make payments to the City of Lake Lotawana as set forth in the Comprehensive Schedule of Fees and Charges.[1]
