[HISTORY: Adopted by the Village Board of the Village of Monticello as Secs. 2-1-2, 2-1-4, 2-1-6 and 2-1-8 of the 1989 Code of Ordinances. Amendments noted where applicable.]
The voting polls in the Village of Monticello, Green County, Wisconsin, shall be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. for all elections.

A. 
The Village of Monticello President shall appoint, subject to Village Board confirmation, election officials in December of even-numbered years for two-year terms in accordance with state statutes.
B. 
The Village of Monticello shall allow for the selection of two or more sets of officials to work at different times on election days at the combined polling place consisting of two wards and permits the Clerk or his/her designee to establish different working hours for different officials assigned to the same polling place per § 7.30(1), Wis. Stats. The Clerk shall determine in advance of each election the number of election officials for such election per Wisconsin Statutes. The Clerk may serve as a tabulator and an inspector if he/she is a resident of the Village and has been appointed as an inspector in order to work the polls as necessary throughout the day.
C. 
The Village of Monticello shall allow a pupil who is 16 or 17 years of age, who is enrolled in grades nine to 12 in a public or private school, and who has at least a 3.0 grade point average or the equivalent, to serve as an inspector at the polling place serving the pupil's residence with the approval of the pupil's parent or guardian and of the principal of the school in which the pupil is enrolled.

The Village is re-divided into two wards with a combined polling place at 140 North Main Street in Ward I and with designated boundaries as follows:
A. 
Ward I. All of the Village of Monticello that lies west of the center of Street Hwy. 39, south of proposed continuation of East Wisconsin Avenue lying between Adams Road and South Garfield Street to the intersection with Garfield Street, west of the center line of South Garfield Street to East Lake Avenue, north of the center line of East Lake Avenue from Garfield Street to North Pratt Road, west of the center line of North Pratt Road to East Coates Avenue, and north of East Coates Avenue that portion lying between North Pratt Road and the east Village limits. Ward I by Census Block Numbers, part of Tract No. 960100, Blocks: 3007-3011, 3013, 3015, 3017-3032, 3061-3062, 3064, 4028, 4034, 4058, 4103. Tract No. 960200, Blocks: 2115 and 2117.
B. 
Ward II. All of that portion lying within the Village limits east of the center of Street Hwy. 39, north of the proposed continuation of East Wisconsin Avenue lying between Adams Road and South Garfield Street, east of the center line of South Garfield Street, that portion south of the center line of East Lake Avenue between South Garfield Street and North Pratt Road, and that portion lying east of North Pratt Road and south of the center line of East Coates Avenue to the Village limits. Pursuant to the provisions of state law, registration shall be required for all primaries and elections in the Village. The Village Clerk shall have control of elector registration within the Village. To the extent applicable, the provisions of state law shall govern all elections in the Village.
