[Adopted 9-3-1980 by Ord. No. 279 (Part 5, Ch. 5, of the 1985 Code of Ordinances)]
The use of holding tanks in the Borough shall be limited to areas where a sewer line is presently in the road bed and said sewer line being unusable at the present time shall be made available in the foreseeable future for the use of the property in question.
The design criteria shall be as follows:
A. 
The capacity of the collection unit must be large enough to contain all plumbing waste for minimum of three days.
B. 
The collection unit must be approved construction and free from leaks.
C. 
The collection unit must be equipped with an automatic warning device to indicate when unit is two-thirds of capacity. That warning device must be in an area where it will be noticed.
D. 
The principal party must supply information upon which the collection unit's internal capacity can be determined; i.e., size of storage tank.
E. 
The principal party must supply written information concerning the sanitary removal, transportation and disposal of all wastes removed from the collection unit.
F. 
The principal party must supply a written statement from a reputable waste removal firm that has been contracted with for the sanitary removal, transportation and disposal of collection unit wastes.
G. 
The principal party must supply a written statement from the management of an approved sewage treatment plan stating that all collected wastes will be properly treated and disposed.
H. 
Drawings showing the location, construction and other details outlined above for the proposed unit must be submitted with permit for approval prior to starting construction.
I. 
The principal party must have available for periodic inspection, written information (receipts, etc.) concerning the sanitary removal, transportation and disposal of all wastes removed from the collection unit.
