§ 259-31 Mandatory Knox Box.®

All nonresidential and multifamily structures shall have a rapid entry key box ("Knox" or similar) installed and maintained in a location that is accessible to the Fire Official, the Fire Department and the Police Department.

The key box shall be of a type approved by the Fire Official, shall contain keys to gain necessary access as required by the Fire Official, and shall be installed in a manner approved by the Fire Official.

§ 259-32 Enforcement.

The Fire Official and Fire Subcode Official shall enforce the provisions of this article.

§ 259-33 Violations and penalties.

Any building owner violating the requirements of this article, after receiving notice from the Fire Official, shall be subject to a fine of up to $2,000.
