GENERAL REFERENCES
Fire prevention — See Ch. 267.
It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to
allow cinders, soot or dense smoke to escape from any chimney, smokestack
or furnace within the Town of Edmonston onto or over the property
of another in such quantities as to become uncomfortable and annoying
to the occupants of private residences.
It shall be unlawful for any person to set on fire or cause
to be burned within the limits of the Town of Edmonston, except within
stoves or furnaces located within buildings, any garbage, filth, rags,
rubber or other substance which emits strong offensive odors.
It shall be unlawful for any person to burn any paper, trash
or other combustible material on any of the streets, sidewalks or
other public places in the Town of Edmonston.

It shall be unlawful for any person to start or build, or for
any person to cause to be started or built, any fire on the open ground
of any private property within the limits of the Town of Edmonston.

Violations of §§ 219-1 thru 219-5 of this chapter are municipal infractions, punishable by a fine of $100 for each offense.
