It shall be unlawful to perform mechanical or body work of any kind on any automobile, truck or other motor vehicle in public view on private property or on any street, alley or right-of-way in the Town of Edmonston, except in the following situations:
A. 
Work being done on private property which is zoned for such activity, provided that the owner of such property, or his agent, lessee or employee, is actively engaged in a licensed business involving the working on automobiles, trucks or other motor vehicles; or
B. 
Work in the nature of minor repairs to an automobile, truck or other motor vehicle of the owner of the property or member of his immediate household.

A. 
Any person who violates the provisions of § 440-1, either personally or by allowing violations to occur on property which he/she owns or has under his control, shall be guilty of a municipal infraction and be subject to a fine of $150 for each offense. Each day during which any violation of this section occurs shall constitute a separate offense.
B. 
Any person convicted a second time for violations of § 440-1 shall be punished by a fine of $300.
