Except as otherwise permitted by the Zoning Act or by this ordinance,
within any districts shown on the Zoning Map, no building or other
structure shall be erected, altered or used and no land shall be used
or occupied for any purpose except for the purposes permitted in the
district as described in this section. Any use not listed shall be
construed to be prohibited.
The restrictions and controls intended to regulate development
in each district are set forth as follows:
