A.
Use Of Fireworks. No person within the City of Camdenton shall discharge, use, ignite, or explode any explosive device or fireworks, as defined by Section 320.106, RSMo. The use of sparklers, novelties, blank cartridges for theatrical purposes, and blank cartridges for signal purposes at sporting events is permitted.
B.
Sale Of Fireworks. The sale or offering for sale of consumer fireworks is permitted within the City of Camdenton, provided the seller complies with the following requirements:
1.
Obtains a valid State-issued permit or license authorizing the sale of fireworks and complies with the requirements of such permit at all times.
2.
Applies for and possesses a current City of Camdenton business license for the specific location (tent, stand, store, or other facility).
3.
Provides written proof of permission from the property owner, if different than the seller.
4.
Ensures the sales location passes a City fire and safety inspection prior to commencing sales and at any other time required by the City.
5.
Clearly display in at least two (2) places, prominent signs indicating that the use of fireworks in the City of Camdenton is prohibited.
C.
Professional Fireworks Displays. Professional fireworks displays are permitted only upon issuance of a permit or letter of permission by the City of Camdenton. The following requirements must be met:
1.
A written application must be submitted to the City at least fourteen (14) days prior to the proposed event.
2.
The applicant must allow and pass a City safety inspection of the display site and setup.
3.
The display must be conducted only by properly licensed and experienced pyrotechnic operators.
4.
The display must comply with all applicable State and Federal regulations and any additional conditions imposed by the City for public safety.
5.
The City may revoke any permit or order the immediate cessation of any display if safety violations occur.
