No person shall fire, discharge, set off or cause or procure to be fired, discharged or set off, any cannon, gun, pistol, sky-rocket, Roman candle, blank cartridge, squib, chaser, torpedo or any other explosive article generally known as fireworks, in any of the streets or public places in the Village of Walton, without first having secured from the Mayor a permit so to do, which permit shall state the time when and the place or places where the discharge or firing of such fireworks is to be permitted. Application for such permit shall be addressed to the Mayor of the Village of Walton, New York, stating the time and place where the discharge of such fireworks is desired.

Any violation of the foregoing section shall be punishable by a fine not exceeding $250, imprisonment for not more than 15 days, or both.
