Vanport Township is hereby divided into five classes of zoning districts as shown on the Official Zoning Map. The regulations that apply in each zone district are contained in Article IV of this chapter. The five classifications are:

A. 
A reproduction of the Official Zoning Map is located at the end of this chapter and is an integral part of it.

B. 
The official copy of the Zoning Map shall be located in the Township office and shall be kept current as zone district boundaries are amended. It shall be the final authority as to the current location of zone district boundaries, subject to appeal to the Zoning Hearing Board.
C. 
No changes of any kind shall be made to the Official Zoning Map except after amendments have been formally adopted by the Board of Commissioners after public hearing (see § 180-44). Any unauthorized change by any person shall be considered a violation of this chapter, subject to penalties under § 180-43.

D. 
The Official Zoning Map shall be identified by the signatures of the President and Secretary of the Board of Commissioners, together with the date of adoption under the following words: "This is to certify that this is the Official Zoning Map referred to in Article III of Ordinance No. 252A of 1988, of the Township of Vanport, Beaver County, Pennsylvania."
E. 
Each amendment to the zoning district boundaries shall be noted on the Official Zoning Map by the ordinance number and date, together with the initials of the President of the Board of Commissioners.
A. 
Zoning district boundaries in most cases follow property lines or the center lines of streets, railroads or streams.
B. 
Boundaries indicated as parallel to a property line, street or railroad shall be construed as parallel thereto and at such a distance therefrom as indicated on the map.
C. 
Boundaries whose locations are not otherwise indicated specifically connect known points or follow the top or toe of steep slopes and are indicated by a dotted line on the map.
D. 
When there is disagreement over the location of district boundaries a decision on the correct location shall be rendered by the Zoning Officer with appeal from his decision made to the Zoning Hearing Board.
