The boundary limits of the Borough of Mount Gretna are hereby
established as a zone in which motor vehicles may remain standing
without lights, and all highways within such boundary limits are hereby
designated as highways where motor vehicles may remain standing without
lights.

Parking is prohibited on certain streets except by permit, from
January 1 until December 31 of each and every year.
A. Parking is prohibited on the following impacted streets within Mount
Gretna Borough except by permit issued to property owners of residential
dwellings fronting the impacted streets and by permits issued to property
owners of residential dwellings located on nonimpacted streets within
the Borough of Mount Gretna from January 1 through December 31 of
each and every year:
(1) Princeton Avenue from Pennsylvania Route 117 to Columbia Avenue;
(2) Pennsylvania Avenue from Princeton Avenue to Pennsylvania Route 117;
(3) Harvard Avenue from Princeton Avenue to Lehigh Avenue;
(4) Muhlenberg Avenue from Princeton Avenue to Pinch Road;
(5) Columbia Avenue from Princeton Avenue to the end;
(6) West Yale Avenue from Wesleyan Avenue to State Drive;
(7) Lafayette Avenue from Lehigh Avenue to Wesleyan Avenue;
(8) Brown Avenue from Lehigh Avenue to Old Mountain Road;
(9) Old Mountain Road from Brown Avenue to Chicago Avenue;
(10)
Chicago Avenue from Pinch Road to Old Mountain Road;
(11)
Stevens Avenue from the intersection of Chicago Avenue and Old
Mountain Road to the end;
(12)
Lancaster Avenue from the west side of property with a mailing
address of 210 Lancaster Avenue to State Drive;
(13)
The west side of State Drive from Yale Avenue to Lancaster Avenue;
(14) Lancaster Avenue from Pinch Road to State Drive.

B. No-parking notices shall be posted.
C. Parking permits, which shall be available at the Mount Gretna Borough Office, shall be provided to each residential dwelling fronting the impacted streets set forth in Subsection
A above as follows:
(1) Two
permanent parking permits per residential dwelling, which permits
shall be affixed on the outside lower left rear driver side windshield
so that it is clearly visible to anyone walking and/or driving on
any of the impacted streets; and
(2) The
permanent permits shall be valid until the residential property is
sold and/or transferred, at which time new permits will be issued.
(3) Two
temporary parking permits effective January 1 through December 31
of each and every year per residential dwelling commencing January
1, 2017. All temporary parking permits are owned by Mount Gretna Borough.

(4) The
temporary yearly parking permit shall be displayed on the front rearview
mirror so it is clearly visible to anyone walking and/or driving on
any of the impacted streets.
D. Two permanent parking permits, which shall be available at the Mount Gretna Borough Office, shall be provided to each residential dwelling within the Borough of Mount Gretna not located on the nonimpacted streets set forth in Subsection
A as follows:
(1) The
permits shall be affixed on the outside of the lower left rear driver
side windshield so it is clearly visible to anyone walking and/or
driving on any of the impacted streets.
(2) The
permanent permits shall be valid until the residential property on
the nonimpacted streets is sold or transferred, at which time new
permits will be issued.
E. A permanent
parking permit for convertibles shall be displayed on the front rearview
mirror so it is clearly visible to anyone walking and/or driving on
any of the impacted streets.
F. Any resident
owner wishing to host a special event may request a one-time parking
permit which includes four parking passes valid for one day only.
The owner must be present at the time of the event, and the request
for a special event pass must be submitted to the Mount Gretna Borough
office on a business day between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
at least one week in advance of the event.

A. Any person who shall violate any provision of this article shall
pay a fine of not less than $50 nor more than $100 and any costs associated
therewith. Each day that a violation continues shall constitute a
separate violation of any provision of this article;
B. Any person who shall violate any provision of this article two or
more times within a thirty-day consecutive period shall pay a fine
of not less than $100 nor more than $200 for the second offense, which
fine shall be increased by an additional $200 nor more than $300 for
each subsequent violation plus any costs associated therewith. Each
day that a violation continues after three times within a thirty-day
consecutive period shall constitute a separate violation.
