of the Village of Yorkville 7-10-2018 by L.L. No. 4-2018.[1] Amendments noted where applicable.]
[1]
Editor's Note: This local law also superseded former Ch. 107,

No person shall discharge or cause to be discharged groundwater
or stormwater into the sanitary sewers by way of a sump pump or other
methods.
A.
Interceptors
and separators shall be provided to prevent the discharge of oil,
grease, sand and other substances harmful or hazardous to the public
sewer, the private sewage system or the sewage treatment plant or
processes.
[Added at time of adoption of Code (see Ch. 1, General Provisions,
Art. I)]
A.
Building lateral/street lateral connection.
(1)
The connection of the building lateral to an existing street lateral
shall be made at the property line. Except as provided under this
chapter, if a street lateral has not previously been provided, the
street lateral will be constructed from the existing public sewer
to the property line at the owner's expense. The street lateral
shall be installed with a properly sealed and covered cleanout to
grade located at the property.
(2)
All costs and expenses incidental to the installation and connection
of the building lateral shall be borne by the property owner.
(3)
The property owner shall indemnify the Village from any loss or damage
that may directly or indirectly be occasioned by the installation
of the building lateral.
(4)
The property owner is responsible for the maintenance and repair,
including all costs, of the lateral and connections from the building
to the public sewer.
(5)
The method of connection of the building lateral to the street lateral
will be dependent upon the type of sewer pipe material and, in all
cases, shall be approved by the Highway Superintendent.
B.
Cleanout repair/replacement. If, in the judgement of the Highway
Superintendent, it is determined that a building lateral, without
the property line cleanout, needs repair or replacement, the Village
may require that the owner install a cleanout at the property line
at the property owner's expense, such that the street lateral
can be maintained independently of the building lateral.
C.
Street lateral replacement; ownership. Any existing street lateral
which, upon examination by the Highway Superintendent, is determined
to be in need of replacement will be replaced with a new street lateral
with a property line cleanout. The cost of constructing the replacement
street lateral and cleanout shall be at the property owner's
expense.
A.
In addition to compliance with the provisions of this chapter, all
persons and property within the Village must also comply with any
and all applicable Oneida County sewer use rules and regulations.
B.
Connections to and the use of sewers in the Village of Yorkville
shall at all times be in compliance with the Town of Whitestown and
Oneida County Sewer Rules and Regulations, or as may be hereafter
amended and supplemented. Such rules are hereby incorporated herein
by reference.
